Why must you select Android OS for your mobile?

You’ve probably tried speaking with your friends and family about tech stuff. Not the detailed and complicated stuff, just the basics. Like mobile phone Operating Systems, for instance. You might start arguing which one is the best. Typically, the battle is between iOS and Android. If you’re an Android user, you may have a lot of convincing points in terms of Android’s different features. Here they are:

The Android OS works on almost any kind of phone

Unlike iOS, Android allows for a lot of different options. If you’re going to buy a new smartphone and you’re planning to use Android, you’d have a lot to choose from. You can make a choice from the economical ones to the pricier ones. If you haven’t purchased your phone yet, make sure to do your research. Consider the efficiency, durability, and performance of the phone.

Android has some cool widgets

Who doesn’t love the widgets? These things make life a lot easier. You can immediately find the right icon on your phone’s screen to open the app you need.

Android has the option of multiple users

When you have this OS, you’ll be able to share your phone. Since the release of Android Lollipop 5.0, you’ll be able to use the option for multiple users. With it, you can allow for a guest account on your phone. But you won’t have to share the information on your original account. You can also create a “children account” which has very limited access to the phone’s features. With it, you can let your child use your phone without worrying about your files and the other stuff on your device.

Android has a Google Assistant

Google came up with Google Assistant. It’s similar to iPhone’s Siri, but also totally different. Although different, they are both very convenient. Google Assistant will give you different kinds of information that you need. It can also help you set an alarm, make calls, and send texts or emails. There are also some devices which you can connect to home appliances. So when you’re looking for a phone, try to check whether it has this feature.

A huge app market

The Google Play Store contains a lot of different apps you can choose from. Officially, there are about 3 million apps available right now. In the past, Android users needed to wait for apps to emerge in the Google Play Store. But now, the market has become the leader, setting trends for innovative apps.

Android has data encryption

A lot of us worry about our privacy. No one wants their personal information shared with others. That is unless they’ve sent it voluntarily. Fortunately, starting with the Marshmallow version of Android, data encryption became a requirement. This means that data is well-encrypted, and therefore, secure on all Android devices.

Simplified cache clearing

One significant thing Android improved is clearing cache. It’s so simple that you’ll be able to learn it easily. All you need to do is go to Settings and find the Application Manager. On it, you’ll be able to see how much internal storage each of your apps take. Then, you can simply clear cache with a single click.

Unlimited space for storage

This is another important feature of Android, especially when comparing it to iOS. Usually, Android phones allow users to insert and use MicroSD cards to add storage space. Nowadays, there are memory cards which can hold up to 128 GB of data! That’s a whole lot of space for you to use! Adding an SD card is a simple way you can make more space for your applications and other phone functions.

Android owns about 80% of the market

If all these features aren’t enough to convince you, consider the market share. The fact is, Android has a huge market share compared to any other Operating Systems. It’s true! Compared to iPhone’s 20%, Android has 80% of the market share. Although that isn’t good news for iOS users, it’s a fact.

Our final word

A lot of people prefer Android because it allows us to perform a lot of fun stuff. From being able to design and set up your home screen to choosing all your apps. With this Operating System, you can allow your creativity to take over. Still not convinced? Go through the features again and who knows? You might join the Android bandwagon too.
