Toronto based Company ‘Ecobee’ recently adds Google Assistant support to smart Thermostats
Ecobee has been making thermostats for years and it is immensely popular around the world for its high-quality thermostat. According to recent reports, with the support of Google Assistant user can now control ecobee by using the term like “Ok Google, make my home warmer,” to activate the ecobee3, ecobee lite or ecobee 4. It means that user can now regulate the temperature of their home by using their voice or by poking in one direction.
If you are assuming that this is the first thermostat to add the Google Assistant feature, then you are wrong, before Ecobee, Honeywell added Google Assistant feature in August on its various thermostat.
Apart from Ecobee and Honeywell, Alphabet-owned Nest has also opted for this technology by integrating the Google Assistant to the thermostat. For users, it is always better to have numerous options in their hands as it will help them to switch between the different options and select the best one easily.
On the integration of Google Assistant with Ecobee, “Stuart Lombard” the president and CEO of the Ecobee mentioned in a press release that “It’s our priority to partner with best-in-class smart home platforms to offer ecobee customers the greatest freedom and flexibility on the market. The Google Assistant is no exception,”. He further added “It is the determination of the company to push the envelope in bringing the advanced technology on the table, and devices like Google home displays their commitment toward attaining this goal.
Ecobee smart thermostat supports Apple HomeKit which means you can control via Siri and schedule automation. Ecobee is quite active in affiliating advance technology and integrating with the smart home system to provide the best user experience.
