As per recent talks, Samsung’s future smartphone Galaxy Note 9 could feature an under-the-display fingerprint sensor. Earlier, many users rumoured that similar technology might be a part of the recently revealed iPhone X as well as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 but unfortunately, it didn’t work for both the tech giants.

However, the recently revealed Samsung Galaxy Note 8 featured a traditional fingerprint sensor on the back of the device while the iPhone X rejected fingerprint sensor entirely. Now, the latest rumours suggest the unconfirmed Galaxy Note 9 will be the first device that could house an under the display fingerprint sensor by next year.

According to the source, the Galaxy Note 9 will let users unlock their device with the help of the fingerprint sensor that will be embedded within a specific part of the phone display. This new rearrangement of the fingerprint sensor will result in the end of traditional physical fingerprint sensor that we see in most of the smartphones nowadays.
