Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo receives Android 7.0 Nougat Update
The last good news from the bucket has finally unveiled for all the Galaxy S5 Neo owners as Samsung has decided to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update for the smartphone which was released exactly two years ago. This will probably be the last big software update this handset will ever see, considering its age and features it possesses.
Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Neo was originally introduced with Lollipop and later it was upgraded to Marshmallow and this time it will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. According to reports, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Neo was produced in two versions, one for Canada (model number G903W) and the other one for Europe (model number G903F). Now it’s the Canadian model which is going to have the taste of Nougat. However, it’s only a matter of time before the update rolls out in other markets too.
Those users who still own Galaxy S5 Neo will receive an over-the-air notification once the 7.0 Nougat update goes live in their market.
After applying the update, the phone will run on the firmware version G903WVLU1CQH4 (Canadian handset).
