iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus Fast Charging Works Perfectly With Other Third-Party USB-C Power Adapters
Last week, Apple came up with an updated support document that was published on the company’s official blog. The support document states that users of both iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus do not require one of Apple’s USB-C power adapters in order to utilize the fast charging capabilities of both the newly launched devices.
Apple mentioned that both the devices will be able to fast charge with any USB-C power adapter that supports USB power delivery specification. The only requirement for users will be the Apple’s official USB-C lightning cable that will still be needed to make this amazing feature work in a more smoother & efficient manner.
As the cable is not included in the box with both the iPhones (iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus), users will have to buy the fast charging cable separately to enjoy the benefit of this amazing feature. Meanwhile, in Canada, this cable cost $35 for one meter and $49 for two meters.
Additionally, the fast charging mode will allow its customers to regain close to 50% of battery life with a single charge of 30 minutes.
The iPhone 8 features non-removable Li-Ion 1821 mAh battery, providing a talk time of up to 14 hours (3G) and music play of 40 hours, whereas iPhone 8 Plus features a non-removable Li-Ion 2691 battery with a talk time of 21 hours (3G)and music play of 60 Hours.
