About a fortnight ago, rumours of HTC U Ocean, the new HTC flagship, hit the online space. According to Android Headlines, where the leaked preview materials first appeared, HTC is all set to introduce a slew of new features.
HTC U Ocean is tipped to feature a newer, better Sense Touch version, which will permit consumers to use more than one ‘grip’ control with their phone. Owners will be able to either long or short squeeze their handset, even when the display is turned off and the phone is put in the sleep mode. The U Ocean will include better edge sensors to make it easier to launch different applications with just one hand, such as the camera, Sense Companion (which was introduced for the first time in the U Ultra), Wi-Fi Hotspot, Google Assistant, and many others. HTC U Ultra owners will be able to set the sensitivity to 3 different levels.
In addition to featuring HDR+, the phone is rumored to include Smart Video Zoom and 3D Audio. Just like the much-liked U Ultra, this phone will have 4 microphones so that users can enjoy the Hi-Resolution Recording function. There will be no 3.5mm headphone port in HTC U Ocean; it will instead have USB Type-C headphones. Users will be able to enjoy Multimedia BoomSound when they use the headphones.
HTC USonic is another novel feature for enhancing the audio experience. It will analyze the inner ear of the user and adapt the sound profile accordingly. The device will feature not one, but two, speakers. There’s one speaker at the bottom of the phone and the other on the left side of the front camera.
Copying and pasting content from your smartphone to PC or vice-versa can be done easily using Sense Link, which is also present in the HTC Ultra and U Play.
