Google Maps for iOS launches with “Parking Difficulty” feature in Canada
On Tuesday Google released an update for its “Google Maps” focusing specifically on the “Parking Facility” icon within the company’s iOS app.
The amazing Parking Difficulty feature was first launched in January in U.S and now this feature is available in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver as well as in other selected cities worldwide.
Google mentioned that – “To see how hard it might be to park where you’re headed, just get directions to your destination and look for the parking difficulty icon in the directions card at the bottom of the screen. Parking difficulties range from limited to medium to easy and are based on historical parking data with a little machine learning magic.”
To make use of this feature, you need to enter the name of the specific address of where you want to go. Once the destination is entered in you will see a parking icon beside your route distance and you will be notified with a message to click on the “P” icon. Incase the destination area you are travelling to has limited parking, you will see the text as “Parking is usually limited near this destination”.
Other worldwide cities which have gained the Parking Difficulty update include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Alicante, Cologne, London, Dusseldorf, Madrid, Darmstadt, Manchester, Malaga, Munich, Milan, Moscow, Prague, Paris, Rome, Rio de Janerio, Stockholm, Sao Paulo, Valencia, and Stuttgart.
