Google adds another bright stone to its jewelry. Tian Lim holds the position of the latest tech expert added by Google to head Play Store services. Lim previously worked as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Hulu for four years before he started working for Google last month.
Prior to that Lim also worked for Sony Network Entertainment and Microsoft for three years and ten years respectively. Lim was handling Sony’s PlayStation Now game streaming service at Sony, and at Microsoft he worked as an engineer and then manager for XBOX division. Lim also has five years of experience as a game designer and engineer at Nintendo.
Lim’s extensive background in entertainment technology will certainly server Google’s play store well, although Google hasn’t commented on his appointment.
For Hulu, senior vice president of engineering, “Barry Steinglass” will be filling Lim’s shoes until a new CTO is found.
Till now, Hulu streaming service is only available in the U.S.
