Google Added Support For Hands-Free Calling For French Canadian To Its Smart Speaker
Google, last week finally added support for hands-free calling for French Canadian users to their smart speaker in Canada. A month before this, Google came out with hands-free calling and multi-user support for Google Home users in Canada which earlier used to support English language only. The report was confirmed by one of iPhone in Canada reader’s Pierre.
For Canadians, to get started with the new multi-user support, they will need to download the updated Google Home iOS app from the Apple Play Store and then link up with the “multi-user is available” option. For smooth functioning of the Google home smart speaker users will first need to train the assistant with their voice.
The good news for Canadians is that they will be able to make hands-free calling over Wi-Fi in both French Canadian and English language now. However, the only thing that still needs an update is the official caller ID support for Google Home.
Until Google adds caller ID support for Google Home, those receiving calls won’t see your number for caller ID, as it will show “unknown” or “no caller ID” message.
Google earlier mentioned that it will bring the official call ID support by the end of the year 2017.
Google home is available for purchase at the price of $148 CAD at Walmart.ca
