The upcoming flagship smartphone of HTC will be called the HTC U and will be offered in five different variants like white, black, red, blue and silver. Rumours say the HTC U will still remain part of the U range but will be marketed as the true successor to the last year’s HTC 10. This phone will join the U Ultra and U Play that made their debut in January this year.
A day after HTC’s teaser, Mr. Evan Blass reported that the HTC Company will call its HTC U 11. The scheme of naming, the first this phone comes under the U series (includes the U Ultra and U Play) and the second the number 11 makes it a straight up successor to the previous HTC 10.
HTC Company recently released an upcoming Ultra smartphone which means we will see the next flagship on second week of May 2017. The newest leak suggests that the name” HTC U “has been finalized for the branding of the next best phone.
It is noted though that not all of these color variant will be made available in worldwide, while HTC has kept plans for the HTC U close to the vest, this phone has been the subject of endless reports over the last few months of this year.
Let’s have brief look over company profile. The HTC Company founded in 1997 as a laptop manufacturer, this company is based in Taiwan and soon began making window based smartphones. The first commercial Android smartphone is” HTC Dream” in 2008. Today HTC company manufacturer of both Android and Windows based smartphones, re-entered the market in 2014with tablet name “Google Nexus 9”.
HTC U specification, release date and Space
The Previous rumor claims the HTC U phone to feature a 5.5-inch WQHD 2560×1440 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon with 835 processor. Camera of this phone is 12-megapixel rear, 16-megapixel front-facing shooter
The storage of this [phone will be 64GB or 128GB storage, micro SD card support, Android 7.1 Nougat and HTC’s own Sense 9 UI over the top of this phone. The HTC U is also going to get pressure sensitive edges around the all body of the phone which can be used to control various functions of the phone. It is yet not clearedthat how the edges will interact with the device’s UI.
We have seen flagship smartphones from Samsung, Sony, LG, Samsung and even Xiaomi. Now it is time for HTC and it did launch the HTC U Ultra.
The HTC U is said to come with dual speakers on the top and bottom of the phone and the USB Type-C port will HTC’s USonic earphones support. The Video and image capture is also tipped to get a boost with Smart Video Zoom, real-time HDR scene detection as well as four microphones embedded in this new phone to record 3D audio& Hi-Res audio.
