A couple of days back BlackBerry rolled out the latest security update for its Android smartphones. The announcement for this security update comes in the form of a tweet which the companies Security Incident Response Team posted on their official Twitter account.

However, this new update from the company is currently only hitting those units which were purchased through the company’s online e-store i.e. ShopBlackBerry. Those who have purchased new Android powered Blackberry smartphone from a local carrier or retailer might receive this security update by next month.

As per the reports, the KEYone (Android 7.1) and Priv (Android 6.1) units are among the major smartphones  getting the update.

Some blackberry users have expressed complaints regarding  DTEK’s models not receiving the security update.
