Why BlackBerry KEYone is one of the most anticipated smartphone of the year?

Is it because of its physical and intelligent keyboard? Is it because they introduced it as a phone with extra security measures? Or is it that some nostalgia? Maybe it’s a bit of all that.

The truth is that the cell phone, which was presented at the Mobile World Congress and goes on sale in April and hit the market on May 31. It was originally thought to be called Mercury, but later changed.

The device has a screen of 4.5 inches, with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 (434 PPI) and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

One of the highlights is that it combines the touch screen with a physical and intelligent keyboard, which responds to tactile gestures.

The KEYone is the first phone to have a fingerprint sensor built directly into the keypad.

It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a 3505 mAh battery. As it includes Quick Charge 3.0 technology, it can charge up to 50 percent of the battery in about 36 minutes.

The rear camera is 12MP and includes the camera sensor Sony IMX378, and has autofocus by phase detection. On the other hand, the front camera is 8MP with fixed focus and highlights a lens with wide angle of 84 degrees.

It has an Android 7.1 operating system and comes preloaded with BlackBerry Hub, which allows you to center all messages in the same location. Thus, it is easier to manage the mails, SMS and messages on all social networks from the same site.

The difference between KEYone and any other device with Android is that it has a set of improved security features that are incorporated into all devices.

In this regard, it has an operating system solidified with the patented technique of BlackBerry Limited to generate additional layer of security.

It comes with BlackBerry DTEK that allows monitoring and protection of security over the operating system and applications. Thus, the user is notified when the privacy of the cell phone could be at risk.

For an average user, connecting to a network is as easy as slicing the bar opposite ‘Wi-Fi’ in Settings to ‘On/green’. But for many other iPhone users (like me, a few days back), the reverse is true. Many folks experience a […]
