Well, you might want to wait a little longer. Apple is slated to launch three new models later this year, two are expected to be iterative updates to the much-liked iPhone 7 – iPhone 7S and iPhone7s Plus, and one is going to be a special tenth anniversary iPhone having many top-of-the-line features that will not be present in iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.
According to rumours, the main attraction of the special anniversary iPhone will be an all-new OLED screen, which Apple is sourcing from Samsung. Apple is believed to be testing many different designs incorporating stainless steel, curved glass, and advanced cameras. The smartphone, as rumored, will be of a similar size as iPhone 7, however, its screen will be as big as the screen in iPhone 7 Plus.
In the new models, Apple will opt for a curved screen for the first time. However, most experts don’t expect that Apple will go for a highly-curved screen. We will have to wait and watch if Apple releases a subdued model or one with a highly-curved screen.
Latest rumors claim there won’t be any on-screen Touch ID fingerprint sensor in the yet-to-be-released iPhone. It seems that Apple, much like Samsung, is not finding it easy to integrate sensor technology in a screen. Apple might include 2 front-facing cameras in the 10thanniversary model. Lastly, Apple also might introduce a new mobile chipset, which will not only be faster but also have better energy efficiency than the current one.
