Apple Increases Its Cellular App Download Limit From 100MB to 150MB
Apple recently made an announcement that it has increased the cellular app download limit to 150MB, from its previous download limit of 100MB. The announcement was made with the help of public notice that was posted for Developers.
This initiative from the company will allow iOS users to download games, apps, and updates over their cellular network on the go. Also, in the past few months, many cellular network companies have increased their download capacity and speed, allowing customers to download larger apps quickly.
Canadians can save data by disabling two major options on their iPhone i.e. use of cellular data for automatic updates and use of cellular data for automatic downloads.
This becomes more important when someone is downloading a 150MB app while opting for a 300MB (Big 3) data plan that might end up eating 50% of the allotted data.
