Apple Announces Expansion Of Apple TV App In Canada

Exactly one year later from the launch of Apple TV app in U.S, Apple has finally made up its mind to launch the similar Apple TV app in Canada. The TV app will be supported by Apple TV 4K, Apple TV 4, iPhone and iPad.

The new Apple TV app will provide unifying media experience to viewers, help them to utilize the power of Siri and also enjoy the benefit of Single Sign-on.

Apple describes its app as “The Apple TV app lets you browse content from top video services without switching from one app to the next. You’ll find movies, shows, and handpicked recommendations. The Apple TV app is coming soon, so get ready to enjoy it on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.”

Here is the list of some of the services which will be supported by the Apple TV app in Canada:-

  • Crave TV
  • CBC TV
  • City
  • Treehouse
  • FX Now Canada
  • MUBI
  • NBA
  • Sportsnet
  • Hopster
  • ICI Tou.tv

Couple of unsupported services include:-

  • FibeTV
  • Netflix

Meanwhile, Apple this week also announced the new Apple TV 4K which will be the perfect way to enjoy the new Apple TV app and the supported services. App TV 4K is available for purchase at the price of $229 CAD.
